OVER $5,000 RAISED FOR THE LEUKAEMIA FOUNDATION.
This years World’s Greatest Shave was a big success with the club and its members, raising over $5000 for the Shave for a Cure and the Leukaemia Foundation.
With staff ready to shave or colour member’s hair we had a great level of participation from our senior footballers and our general members. Our biggest contributor, Joe Fazzolari, was willing to shave not only his head, but also his beard and his eyebrows for this worthwhile cause. His sponsored contributions raised well over $3000 alone. Well done Joe!! Another member Rip Boughen raised $250 on the day to shave his long locks off.
We would like that all of those members who participated in the World’s Greatest Shave by either shaving or colouring their hair as the money raised will go to directly supporting patients and their families when they need it the most by providing them with a free “home-away-from-home” near a hospital during their treatment.
