Responsible Service of Alcohol
To allow all members and their guests to enjoy themselves at the club. The club recognises that the consumption of alcohol is a pleasant social experience. The Club is here to ensure that all members can be served alcohol in a professional, friendly and responsible manner.
The club does not wish to limit a patrons right to drink and enjoy themselves, however the club cannot tolerate patrons who drink to excess and place themselves, or other patrons and the community at large, at risk.
We want to work with you to ensure that every member and guest at Guildford Leagues can enjoy themselves in a safe, friendly and enjoyable club.
To achieve this policy we will:

Require proof of age upon entry, and at any service point in the club |

Refuse admittance to intoxicated persons |

Refuse to serve intoxicated persons |
 |
Accept our responsibility of a duty of care for patrons and staff |

Discourage activities that encourage drinking excessively |

Display our house policy at strategic points in the club and in printed material dispersed by the club |

Monitor the behaviour of patrons |
 |
Improve on maintain safety and security |
 |
Dissuade patrons from driving after they have consumed more than the legal limit of alcohol |
 |
Commit to being a good neighbour |
